A quiet moment

Here is my contribution to a quiet Advent moment.
I don't know about you, but all creative activities have had to take second  place to Christmas preparations. Trying to fit in a few minutes quiet contemplation seems to be difficult, but I usually manage to stop and watch the birds on the feeders while drinking my morning cup of tea. I enjoy the fact that as well as the cyclamen flowering,  I have an azalea about to bloom and my orchids will be out for Christmas.

This was a couple of years ago, it is considerably larger now.

I hope you manage your own few moments of peace.

Indeed! Let's always find time to stop and stare if only for a brief moment as there is much to appreciate even in the midst of preparations for Christmas.

Thanks for sharing your lovely cyclamen photo.

Lovely photos. Hmm, it is not easy to fins quiet moments at this busy time.... You must have green fingers to keep an orchid alive for so long. I have a very very sickly poinsetta - any tips?!

Well, since I have no Christmas prepping to do, I have lots of time for quiet moments, and wouldn't have it any other way. But can't even watch birds today as there is thick freezing fog with the occasional snow/rain shower, which has at least got rid of the thick frost!!! At least it feels more seasonal now....

Your flowers are beautiful! I have plenty of quiet moments. I need to get to work on shopping soon. I did not plan to wait this long. But I am finally able to get out. I hope. Weather has been a bit cold.
Enjoy as many quiet moments as you can get.

quiet moments are excellent in such a busy season, and i think they can be called creative moments even if you are not actually producing something at that very minute. those reflective times will lead to something later. have a great holiday!
