I shall add some hand stitched anthers, but not sure what to do with it yet.
I also did some more detailed Inktense drawings on cotton.
I turned these three into lavender bags.
I also been playing in various sketchbooks.
novel brush wipe...
I have also decided to join the Embroider's Guild and nearest branch in Letchworth has Gina on the committee. I very cleverly joined in in time to attend their Summer Supper and listen to a very informative talk by Wendy Cotterill on spun bonded fibres, mainly Lutrador; enjoy a delicious buffet supplied by the committee and buy a piece of velvet and dyed scrim from Sandra Beech and try a little idea she had, to keep my hand in.
And finally a photograph of the most amazing sky last night, which made me think of mother-of-pearl.
Not sure what I will be doing next, but I will eventually keep you posted.

Hi! Your watercolor pencil botanicals are simply gorgeous. I love your work. Beautiful! ~ kathy
Love the brush wipe! The lavender bags are fab as are the other pieces with machine embroidery - you are certainly giving it all a go these days - so talented in so many ways.
Great to see what you have been getting up to - love your acer type leaves sketch in particular ! Ali x
Lovely sketchbook work and a very unusual brush wipe. I like the look of the scrim and velvet.
Lovely ,lovely sketchbook work - very appealing. The garden is providing so much inspiration at the moment.
Love the embroidery - I used to do a lot but haven't done any recently. the EG sounds fab - it will be very inspiring!
Beautiful sketchbook pages Jill. We're pleased you want to join our branch.
I would know your lovely sketchbook pages anywhere! Great brush wipe, hope he has kept his cool in this weather.
How obliging of Marvin to provide you with a brush wipe. Beautiful pages as ever in those sketchbooks. I am hoping to save you the seed of a deep violet/purple opium poppy. Just luscious enough to compete with your blood red one. Having to keep one step ahead of the rabbits. They don't eat the poppies but they nibble the stems and chop them off in their prime for no reason. Enjoy the EG. I've often thought about joining our local branch but I don't think I stitch enough to make me a good member. Looking forward to seeing your projects with them.
