I'm not going to say a lot, you may be relieved to read.
Machine quilting ...
... and hand stitching.
There's still a way to go. Can't decide whether to put some words into it or not... and can't decide whether to bind or face it.
Off to do a bit more seed stitching.
Have a good week,
Jill

Wow! This is amazing. Such beautiful rich colours. I love doing projects like this. If you are still undecided I'd say no words and face. Lynne x
Love it Jill! Beautiful stitching!
It's looking good, even just from the snippets you are showing. Were words part of the original design? If not, do you really need to add them? I would say the same about binding too - if it doesn't add anything to the overall look or if the piece is better unconstrained, then face it.
I think it's looking good as it stands - however I feel that bindings can frame and bring together a piece - but not always - its very hard to judge without seeing the whole thing. You've been working hard, but it looks exuberant and free and most of all FUN!
Everything's looking gorgeous!
Great to see this lovely work in progress, I guess it will gradually evolve as you sew.
Binding or facing means nothing to me! I trust to your instincts to know what works for you. Lovely to see it on the homeward stretch and looking forward - drum roll - to the big reveal!
I know nothing about the technicalities ......it just looks great to me! And I love seed-stitching (although I'm not very good at it :-/ )
Lovely neat quilting & relaxed hand stitches, a great mix. I ain't no quilter & I do love a rough edge; does it need 'containing' with binding?
You are nearly there now...........
(I had to Youtube "facing a quilt"........ then went off at a tangent to discover other stuff, you know how it is.............).
love being absorbed in that creating place. How great you enjoyed the workshop - I love going to workshops too! Must go to one soon. Wish this weather would stay sunny and truly blast into summery warmth - it's cold and grey here now. Maybe some art-making will brighten it up :) Good luck with finishing your quilt.
