Testing testing...

As you can see my new iMac has arrived and I have spent the several days starting to get to know it.  Now I have bit of a stiff neck from sitting too long at the screen which I did have raised up.  Now I have put it back to desk level.  Loading a photo into Blogger seemed rather long winded, but I guess I will get to know it all better.  I have also bought a couple of Ikea worktops which has given me a full length work bench, more space to make a mess!!  I haven't disconnected my old PC yet or moved the printer/scanner, which will take up a lot of room on the desk. I am also finding new homes for 'stuff' and then not being able to find anything.  Sorry, this is probably really boring for you.

I do want to take the opportunity thank John who spent some time helping with a trip to Ikea, ordering the computer and helping move furniture.

Hoping to have some sketchbook pages to share soon!   Have a good weekend.
Jill

I was really nervous of changing the technology to a mac Jill and chickened out, but keep wondering if I made the right choice. Looking forward to reading why it's better when it grows on you.

Best decision you've every made, lol. You'll love it in a week. Either take your creations with a camera or scan, plug the camera/scanner into your Mac and iPhoto should automatically open, it's easy peasy then to upload to blogger. xx

I agree with flutterbycrafter - I'm sure that very soon you'll be in love with your iMac. I know I wouldn't go back to having a tower type pc.

It takes a bit of getting used to, so allow yourself time to get used to it. Blogger isn't totally compatible with Macs - eg when you want to link to another blog/website from a post you won't be able to just copy and paste it, you'll have to write it all our laboriously. Maybe one day Blogger will catch up.

Well done to John, give him an extra biscuit with his cup of tea!

Not boring at all - like many people I find others' workspaces endlessly fascinating. I look forward to hearing how you get on with the new computer. I know people who love Macs, and others who tried them and moved back to PCs. I have never been sure that the premium price and the hassle factor of changing over is worth it so it will be good to hear how you find it.

Daughter has passed on her old Mac, but I haven't had time to try it - must do as my PC is failing! Look forward to hearing what you make of it - good old Ikea, they've transformed my work space.

Just leave your office window slightly open at night - I know your address and shall be round..... wearing my black eyemask, my black and white striped t shirt and carrying my bag marked "swag" over my shoulder. Jealous? Moi?

;O))))))))))))
