June, she comes too soon

Filling in my calendar is never a chore, even though sometimes I fill in three or four days at a time.  However the idea of preparing a new page sometimes does feel a bit of a drag.  This week I really enjoyed looking at some paintings by the Fauves after being inspired by the envelope and label Gina used for my Postman's Knock postcard.  I would never normally  make a painting like this as I would think about it too much, but as I knew it would be mostly covered with the squares I let rip with the acrylics - great fun.

It is hard to believe that it is June already,.
I omitted to say in my last couple of posts thank you to all of you who sent me positive messages when I was feeling a bit glum. Gave myself a bit of a talking to.  I spent a great day with some lovely friends as Nutty Knitters today, there is nothing like a good heart to heart, especially when accompanied with a good cup of tea and a slice of Maxine's home-made strawberry cheesecake. Shame I can't share that with you over the ether!

Hope you have a great June,
Jill

I heartily agree that she arrived too soon (That would be June!)
I'm behind again this month. I think your scene is fabulous Jill - a shame to cover it with the journal blocks really :)
I'm hoping Blogger will allow me to leave a comment as I've had trouble over the last couple of days....

Lovely pages Jill. June certainly seems to have arrived very fast this year maybe it's all those bank holidays we had in April and May! Glad you are feeling happier now - it happens to us all at times though doesn't it?!

I think that is a wonderful journal spread. How lovely to look forward to the days purely in order to fill the squares in!

Love the scene hiding behind the days, it could be freer knowing it would be partially hidden.

Jill,
Those pages look as bright as I think June might be! I hear we're in for soaring temperatures and scorching heat so Luton might well look like the south of France. Tea, cake and a natter with friends sounds the best remedy for me too.Glad you're feeling more in tune with the world again. Lesley x

Stunning painting!!! It almost seems a shame to cover it with the squares but I'm sure once it's all filled in it will look great!! Love your May page too.

Love both your pages but the scene for June is amazing and repeat what others have said a pity to cover it over with Journal squares.
