I'm here

Thank all of you for your support and good wishes. Mr T should be home from hospital tomorrow. But we are not counting on anything until he is in his favourite armchair.
Meanwhile I have been busy and I have had to do a bit of vacuuming up of snips and scraps of cotton and fabric which formed a colourful layer under the dining table.
Amongst other projects, I have been working on a larger version of my crazy patchwork purses - a small shoulder bag. I have stitched down the patchwork and added some free-sewing machine stitching and it is now ready for some hand stitched embellishments.

Meanwhile I snapped this rather colourful Six-spot Burnet moth ...

... and my new penstemon  is a rather more vivid blue than I anticipated....

...but it looks great with the wonderful cerise lychnis coronaria.

Hopefully I shall be 'on-line' again soon, and will be able to catch-up with everyone's posts.

Its good to see you've kept busy with your patchwork Jill, which is absolutely gorgeous btwYou really have an eye for pulling all the colours together...speaking of which, the colourful flowers in your garden are particularly lovely! x x

Good to hear the news that Mr T is coming home. Once he gets back on home turf you will both feel better I suspect. Getting the vacuum out seems a bit drastic Jill but the end results are wonderful. Great choice and mix of colours. Is that penstemon 'Sour Grapes' - that often has a lot of blue in it... and as for the moth... brilliant photos as ever. Lesley x

Glad to hear Mr T is hoping to be home tomorrow - it will be so much easier for you both and I am sure you will be glad to have him home again. That patchwork bag is lovely Jill - you really do seem to have an eye for machine stitchery now you have your new machine. Mind you don't clog the vacuum cleaner up though like I did when hoovering up the long threads!! The flower pics too are beautiful - so talented you are.

Take care

Your penstemons are gorgeous! As well as the brilliance of their red friends. Blossoms like that make the long dark winter days easier to endure. Best wish for your hubby's recovery
