How to repair a Bumble Bee

Just a quick post for all you bee lovers. I came across this in my quest to identify bees in my garden, although they have all disappeared since I have been out with my chart. But you really must take a look at this remarkable lady's patience in helping bees laden with mites. I have fed bees to help them on their way, but never tried giving them a bath! Please click on the link and take a look.

Amazing .... what a brave lady. I've revived baby birds and helped egg bound mums in my time but never helped a bee. I will make a point of trying to do so this year. Great post Jill x

and then the bee stung her! I was amazed! I keep finding honey bees in my kitchen. I very carefully rescue them and put them back in the flowers, but I'm not sure about giving them a bath...

Jill,
I will have to show my husband this tonight as he's always on the look out for varroa when inspecting his hives so he'll be 'mite-y interested' in this! Sorry, pathetic I know but it makes me happy... so does your cartoon! You are so good. Lesley

We have bumble-bee rescue kits (jam jar and piece of stiff card!)all over the house - but I haven't thought of giving the little dears a soak in the bath!

Love your very clever cartoon interpretations Jill! Although I always carefully waft bees out of the house, I'm not too sure about giving them a bath!
