Happy Birthday Janet!

It is my sister's birthday today so I made her an initial for her birthday. I am sure you can workout her favourite pastimes. I was especially pleased with the 'sea' moulded with Golden gloss gel and thanks to Lesley for the idea of knitting with cocktails sticks. I am sorry I can't just pop over to the Isle of Wight to see you, but happy birthday little sis.

What a brilliant idea Jill ... she will love it. Hasn't it been quiet round here with the airport closed .... and the sky today just a perfect sea of blue. There is a photographic competition on Hertfordshire Life website Jill and I thought of you because it involves taking architectural shots of places in Herts.

A lovely, personal present..... but I am wondering what something is: golden gloss gel? Just wondered.............

Two sisters with J in their name. I love the way the flowers fall out of the garden seed packets. A very fine gift and so unique. Hope the grounded airplanes will not be a problem for you.

It is nice and quiet here Leenie as we live in an airport town, we have two marooned friends (In Thailand)but have no plans for flying ourselves.
Cathy - Golden is a make of artists' acrylic paint and lots of arty stuff. They make matt and gloss gel mediums for mixing with paint to thicken it. I always think it sounds like a hair product - it would probably work too, but on a more permanent basis than my usual brand!

Hi Jill, Happy Gorgeous Birthday present for Janet, interesting combination of textures and colours, who could ask for a better present?
I love the randomness of collage it always throws up exciting things that just evolve!

Jill,
This is a masterpiece. Janet will love it without doubt. I never use the gloss medium with paint so must do that. Does it extend the drying time? I always use it as either a 'glue' or a transfer medium. So pleased to see the idea taken up by someone else. Let us know what your sister thinks of it! Lesley.

Thanks so much sis, of course I just love the 'J' and of course the scrumptious card you made me. To all your lovely blog friends I would add that it is not always easy having such a talented sister! I am always doing things too, but my things include living alone with two teenaged sons, so that stops me in my tracks sometimes! However, I do manage to create quite a lot too, even if it's is just havoc! Jill will tell you that I am also a mad gardener so I have to fit that in too! Oh to be an octopus so I could more things all at once.

Thanks again Jill, love from your sis.

P.S I am gathering goodies for your May package!
