I've had an extremely busy week including visiting Dad on the Isle of Wight and a trip to Ikea to buy new desks for my work room - thanks to John and Trish for the lift and help lifting heavy flat packs. I have put together one under-desk cupboard, but my back suggests leaving the other one for a few days. Eventually I should have continuous worktop along one wall which will also accomodate my new computer. Hopefully I will be able to fit everything in. At the moment every gap is filled with a folder or a box, my new arrangement won't have so many gaps!
I have made time for one project in my sketchbook. I have used a favouite teapot as the starting point. May do a bit more work on it at some point.
It is nearly the end of October, so I am going to work on my November calendar page now as I've another busy week ahead with more family visits and appointments with the vet and the hairdresser! I don't know why, but appointments each seem to take up half a day since I retired. I can't believe I used to fit them all in with working full time!
Hope you all have a good week and see you in November!
Jill

I love these sketchbook pages. The contrasts between the large negative shape and the detailed photograph of the teapot works really well, and the detailed reworkings of the pattern on the opposite page add a further layer of interest and reference. Lovely work Jill - as always!
I hope you find some time for yourself in your busy week.
Oh I am coveting that teapot ... you know blue & white is a passion of mine .... never seen one like that before x
Ooh, I know the warning signs from my back only too well - listen to them and wait until they've gone away before embarking on the next cupboard or you'll regret it! You sound like you've been very busy. I really like your sketchbook pages, with the negative image and enlargement. Very effective.
Have a great week!

Sound like that room is getting organised ready for the new computer. Lovely to peep into your sketchbook pages again. I can hardly believe that November is almost upon us.
Can't wait to get rid of October and get a fresh start to November. New desks and work surfaces are reallly goo, I love the ones I bought earlier in the year - what did we do without Ikea!
I like your colour work very much and am inspired by you to get on to Module 2. I think the course is absolutely wonderful too - very inspiring and some fabulous ideas. Do you sign up for DMTV with them - there's a fabulous episode on using a guache resist and Indian Ink which I can't wait to try.
Thanks, glad you like the weaving! Your pages are lovely - inspiring as I have a tea for two piece to do!
this is just lovely, I will enjoy following your blog
What pretty blue pages....and a rather gorgeous teapot! Wonderful work Jill.
